Power line Voltage Sag Mitigation by Dynamic Voltage Restorer using ANN optimization Technique Approach

Voltage sag is one of the most severe power quality disturbances to be dealt with by industrial sector, as it can cause process disruptions and results in substantial economic loss. A short-term decreasein voltage lasting anywhere from milliseconds up a few seconds called sag. At present, wide range very flexible controllers, which capitalize on newly available electronics components, are emerging for custom applications. Among these, distribution static compensator (D- STATCOM) dynamic restorer (DVR) effective devices mitigation sag, both them based source converter (VSC) principle. DVR injects series system D-STATCOM current into correct Control unit heart D- STATCOM where main function detect presence calculating required compensating above devices. Due approximation control design existing schemes used have some tracking error. This work evaluates performance novel algorithm two neuron simultaneous compensation replenishing dc bus energy. uses simplest pre-sag supply boosting technique. Besides, self-charging technique maintains capacitor at desired level. The salient advantages this method long duration deeper sags, reduction size dc-link simplicity digital implementation.
